Relocation Decision
The Canberra Country Music Festival is proud to announce the relocation of the event to the Hall Polocrosse Grounds commencing this year. The move facilitates outdoor stages, onsite camping ticketing, improved vendor opportunities and expanded field event programming that was either not possible or inflexible at the previous venue. The Festival committee and the Hall Polocrosse Club had been discussing the relocation potential since April and direct experience of a 2-day equestrian event at the site demonstrated the practical suitability for the Canberra Country Music Festival.
The site is very large being 1km from the front gate to the furthest fenceline, thus allowing for expansion into the future. With 5 polocrosse fields (of similar sizes to football fields) the move allows for additional field events (including horse and pony activities) and an expansion of the Canberra Ute Car Truck Muster. The True Blue Stage will return to indoor auditorium at the site, with the Southern Cross main stage being located outdoors on the main polocrosse field. The Bundy Bar will be placed closer to the food village (renamed Scrumpy's Food Village). A host of other innovations are also planned and will be progressively announced as we approach the Festival date 16-18 November 2012.
